Challenge:
MAKIES is one of Switzerland’s leading companies in the fields of gravel, concrete and transportation.
Located in Gettnau, “Kies” is German for gravel and the company was formed in 1962 by Kurt Marti, hence the company name Makies (Ma from Marti and Kies for the product)
In 2018 mist-air successfully installed a system to control fugitive dust emissions during rail and lorry loading operations on site.

The Mist-air Solution:
Localise mist-air misting manifolds were fitted to encapsulate the dust as it was created and to keep it in the vehicles as it was formed rather than let it escape preventing housekeeping issues, health risks and environmental complaints.
