Schnider AG Paper Recycling
Improving safety at a paper recylcing plant
Challenge:
Schnider AG Transporte & Recycling were formed in 1952 as a transport and recycling company which has now recycled over 70,000 tons of waste throughout eastern Switzerland. In 2015 mist-air installed a dust suppression system at one of their three waste disposal centres. The site in question was based in Engelburg. The customer was having a large problem with dust created from their paper and cardboard recycling process. Large volumes of Dust was generated as the paper is tipped and then loaded into shredders before being fed into balers. The dust was causing issues for neighbours, but especially creating housekeeping issues and the fine chocking dust was affecting staff health.

The Mist-air Solution:
The mist-air system produces a micro fine fog that suppresses dust but without adding any moisture to the product. This also means floors, personnel and equipment stay completely dry unlike other less sophisticated spray systems on the market. The fog is blown from mist-air’s fan assisted manifolds which work in unison to create a pincer effect and trap dust as it is formed before it has a chance to become airborne.
