A Case Study In Glass Dust Suppression
Challenge:
Formed in 1995 Uusioaines Oy Glass has specialised in the recycling of glass in the Forssa area of Finland.
Uusioaines Oy are manufacturers of float glass (windows and windscreens) they are glass sellers, cutters, and supply downstream operators and construction companies. The capacity of the glass treatment plant is sufficient to meet the needs for the whole of Finland.
The glass is crushed, cleaned, and sorted according to colour. The collectable glass is refined for reuse as raw materials, in other words as cullet and delivered for industrial use.

The Mist-air Solution:
Installed in 2015 mist-air installed fan assisted manifolds to control airborne dust and silica in the reception hall and along the processing line. That original system has been expanded several times to cover other areas of the operation. mist-air dust absorber is mixed with the mist to improve the effectiveness of the mist when it comes into contact with hydrophobic particles.
